Why Do We Offer Wedding Officiating?

You deserve a professional and personalized Wedding Officiant, because the ceremony is such an important part of your special day. It sets the tone for the rest of your wedding day celebration and we want you to get started on the right path.

We welcome all couples! Our Wedding Officiants believe that “Love is Love” and our duty is to serve all.  Helping you celebrate your partnership and love for life is our #1 goal. Two people giving of themselves to one another in a lifetime commitment, is something we are honored to be a part of. From a quick and easy Elopement to a full blown Ceremony, we are willing to work with you and make it special. We have several Ordained Ministers and Officiants, both male and female to match your style and personality.

Options

We can provide you with various options while our Wedding Officiants are doing your Ceremony or Elopement. They include traditional, non-denominational, and vow renewal. We start with our basic script. From there we add or remove items based on your preferences and wishes.

Customizing Your Ceremony

We will work with you to create a unique ceremony. How much religion do you want to include or exclude? Will you have any special readings? Will you write your own vows, in addition to the ones required by law? Other options to consider might be a “Unity Candle”, “Sand Ceremony”, “Hand Fasting”, “Unity Cross”, etc.. You can learn more about ceremony planning here.

How does this work?

Louisiana Law states that you must pick up your own Marriage License and supply the necessary forms at any Clerk of Court office prior to your wedding day. We have a link to all of the Parish Clerks of Court here. On your wedding day our Wedding Officiant would arrive 30 minutes before the Ceremony to prepare the “Marriage License” that you would provide at the ceremony location. These documents are signed during or after the Ceremony to ensure the Marriage License is legal. After the ceremony, Louisiana law requires the Officiant to return it to the issuing courthouse within 10 days. Some courthouses also issue a decorative (not legal) “Wedding Certificate” along with the legal version that would also be signed by everyone, but it is not a legal document. You’ll need a certified copy from the courthouse before you can change your name, drivers license, etc..

Ceremony Rehearsals

We generally do not attend rehearsals unless you have added this to your package. The reason is because there isn’t much for a “Wedding Officiant” to do during the rehearsal. This is more of a “Wedding Coordinating” job. However, since we can also offer Coordinating services, we are certainly qualified to handle this role if desired and can be added to any package. Ask for a quote if interested.

Ceremony Music

We’ve been a DJ company over 28+ years and have provided Ceremony Music for over 350 wedding ceremonies. With our vast knowledge of current trends and past experience, we can help you by making suggestions. We can even handle all of the music parts for you with our in house DJ services.
